Mr. Petelos,

I believe the Highway 280 corridor's lack of sufficient emergency medical care is a critical issue that must be addressed. As a concerned citizen, and someone who could someday require emergency medical resources, I am sending you this email to state my support for Brookwood Medical Center's proposed freestanding emergency department.

To me, this is a matter much greater than simple convenience. The current situation requires significant travel along Birmingham's most congested roadways. Framed in that context, access to emergency services in north Shelby County could well be an issue of life or death for some residents.

Sincerely,
